Rural Research Connections Program Now Accepting Applications

The application process for WVU undergraduates to participate in the Rural Research Connections Program is now open. This program is designed for WVU undergraduate students in good academic standing who plan to apply to graduate level health professional schools or graduate programs.  In addition it is geared towards those interested in gaining research experience related to community and rural health. There is no cost for students to participate and they will receive the following benefits:

1.     Enriched student-mentor relationship

2.     Two research roundtable lunches to share research progress and experiences

3.     Abstract and poster presentation workshop(s)

4.     Funding for the student and faculty mentor to present work at a conference

Only 5 positions are available for the 2015-2016 program cycle; applications will be selected on a rolling basis until all five positions are filled. The program description and application materials can be found at http://www.hsc.wvu.edu/icrh/students/rural-research-connections-program/

Questions and requests for additional information about the RRCP should be directed to Brianna Sheppard Willis, Program Coordinator for the WVU Institute for Community and Rural Health at 304-293-1444 or by e-mail at absheppard@hsc.wvu.edu.
