Get six credits of upper division History classes completed in 6 weeks by taking Study Abroad in Mexico and History 350 (Aztecs, Incas, and Mayas). Between May 13 and June 4, visit Mexico City, the ancient city of Teotihuacan (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), and the palace of Spanish conquistador Hernan Cortes, all while learning the history of contemporary Mexico. There is no Spanish required, program fees include roundtrip airfare, tuition, homestay with a Mexican family, and meals (approx. $3400). Plus, you can take HISTORY 350 online at the same time with Dr. Michele Stephens, who will lead the Cuernavaca program. History 350 focuses on the History of the Aztecs, Incas, and Mayas. By taking both courses this summer, you will not only complete 2 upper division classes in six weeks, you will have this experience in the heart of the former Aztec Empire.
Please note: students do not have to take the Study Abroad course to take HIST350, or vice versa. The application deadline for the study abroad program is March 1.
