WVU Rural Health Day

Are you interested in going to medical school? Not sure which medical discipline to pursue? On April 2, 2016, come on out to the Health Sciences Center (Room 1905) to spend a day hearing from practicing physicians serving in rural areas of West Virginia.  Undergraduate college students from WV and surrounding states are welcome to come participate in activities that will enhance and provide support on the path to applying to medical school.

Get hands on experience:

  • With suturing a wound
  • Using an ultrasound machine
  • Delivering a baby
  • Dissecting a cadaveric knee

This free event is from 8:45 am – 5:30 pm, includes lunch with current WVU Medical Students, and offers multiple chances to win an iPad and other prizes. Go to the website for more information, to register, and to see the full agenda for the day.
