WVU will be hosting Arzu Geybulla, a journalist and Human Rights Activist from Azerbaijan, and a visiting fellow at George Washington University on Wednesday, April 13th, from 5 - 6:30 p.m. at 209 Armstrong Hall. Her talk is entitled “Silencing Democracy: The Failure of Transition in Azerbaijan”. This is a unique opportunity to hear about the press and personal freedoms in a region roiled by conflict and ruled by dictators. This is sponsored by the John D. Rockefeller IV School of Policy & Politics, the Department of Political Science, and the Slavic & East European Studies Program. See the flyer for more details about the event.
