Honors Day Of Service

Itinerary

6:15-7:30 am: Check-in at the Creative Arts Center (CAC)

7:30-8:00 am: Welcome from Honors College Dean and Center for Service and Learning

8:00-8:30 am: Dismissal to service project sites

8:30-9:00 am: Travel to service project sites

9:00 am-12:00 pm: Service projects

12:00-12:30 pm: Travel back to campus

12:30-2:30 pm: Lunch at Hatfields, Arnold’s Diner, Boreman Bistro or Café Evansdale

 

***Some students have volunteered to travel to Southern WV to help with flood relief efforts. These students will return between 4:00-5:00 pm and boxed lunches will be provided.

 

Downtown Bus Schedule

The PRT will not be running until 9:00 am on Saturday; therefore, we will have buses available for students residing on the downtown campus. The buses will be waiting in Short Term Lot 10 (the gravel lot across from B&E and Area 5—see attached campus map) to take students to the CAC. 

 

5:45 am: Depart Honors Hall for Short Term Lot 10 (led by a group leader)

6:00 am: Buses depart from Short Term Lot 10 with students residing in Honors Hall

6:15 am: Buses arrive at CAC with students residing in Honors Hall

 

6:15 am: Depart Arnold, Boreman, Stalnaker, Dadisman and Summit Halls for Short Term Lot 10 (led by group leaders)

6:30 am: Buses depart from Short Term Lot 10 with students residing in Arnold, Boreman, Stalnaker, Dadisman and Summit Halls

6:45 am: Buses arrive at CAC with students residing in Arnold, Boreman, Stalnaker, Dadisman and Summit Halls.

 

Evansdale Travel Schedule

6:45 am: All students living on the Evansdale campus will leave their residence hall with a group leader to go to the CAC

6:45 am: Commuting freshmen park at the Coliseum and walk to the CAC

7:00-7:30 am: Check-in for students on Evansdale campus and Commuters
