Girl Power: Ladies Lead In The Lemurs of Madagascar

On Monday, February 6th at 8 pm, Visiting Scholar, Patricia Wright will give a lecture in the Mountainlair Rhododendron Room. Dr. Wright is an American primatologist, anthropologist, and conservationist. She is best known for her extensive study of social and family interactions of wild lemurs in Madagascar. This lecture will explore the dynamics of female power of the lemurs on the island of Madagascar. Everyone in the university community is invited. Caritas House Benefit

APhA-ASP, Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity, and the LGBTQ+ Center are hosting a benefit for the Caritas House! The Caritas House is a non-profit organization that offers advocacy, community outreach, case management, prevention education, transitional housing, and volunteer and supportive services to the homeless and individuals with HIV/AIDS in the greater Morgantown community. All ticket sales and proceeds will go directly to the Caritas House!

Dancing With Our Mountaineer Stars Blood Drive

On Feb 8th, the American Red Cross will be hosting the Dancing With Our Mountaineer Stars blood drive in the Ballroom of the Mountainlair from 1 pm-7 pm. This is one of the largest blood drives of the year, so we are in need of blood donors. For everyone donating blood, they will receive one American Red Cross “We Challenge U” t-shirt and one $5 Amazon Gift Card.

Your Help To Save Lives Is Really Needed

The sixth annual “Dancing with Our Mountaineer Stars Competition” that is run through WVUp All Night, West Virginia University’s premier late-night program, will again feature a community-service component.  The American Red Cross teamed up with WVUp All Night and continues to raise awareness by urging individuals to be blood donors through the organization. While dancing is large part of the “Dancing with Our Mountaineer Stars Competition”, the contestants must seek donors to give blood on their behalf at a blood drive the week before the show. For each blood donor that each dancing couple receives, one extra point is given the couple’s final score.  All blood donors will receive a FREE American Red Cross “We Challenge U” T-Shirt, a FREE gift card, and FREE pizza.  As a part of the competition, the Annual Dancing With Our Mountaineer Stars Blood Drive will be held on:
