Dr. Ryan Claycomb is Acting Dean of the Honors College through the 2019-2020 school year. He is also Professor of English and Theatre, Associate Faculty in the Center for Women’s and Gender Studies, and Director of the Humanities Center. He writes and teaches on modern drama, contemporary literature, gender studies, British literature, and life writing. He is the author of "Lives in Play: Autobiography and Biography on the Feminist Stage" (University of Michigan Press, 2012). He first worked with the Honors College from 2012-2017 as Associate Dean, overseeing much of the academic affairs of the College, and designing and implementing the Honors Foundations Program. While he is known to sometimes wear bow ties, he swears that he is not copying President Gee.
