Transportation

Traveling on Foot
If your classroom is located on the same campus as where you are living, great! Leave a little early in case you have trouble finding the specific room you will be meeting in.

Using Public Transportation
If you need to travel between campuses, the Personal Rapid Transportation System (PRT) will be running from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. today. [Note: the PRT does not normally run on Sundays.]

Don't know how to use the PRT? That's okay! Read everything you need to know hereRemember to leave a little early, and bring your WVU ID card and a face mask to wear in the PRT car (masks are required on all public transportation at WVU, regardless of vaccination status). Note that buses will not be in operation today.

Parking Information for Commuters
If you will be commuting to campus for the Honors College Retreat, you can park for free at the WVU Coliseum.
  • If your classroom is on Evansdale Campus, you can walk to your classroom from the Coliseum parking lot
  • If your classroom is on Downtown Campus, you can walk to the Engineering PRT Station to ride the PRT to the Beechurst PRT Station, and walk to your classroom from there.
Alternatively, there are also paid lots available that may be closer to your classroom location. Keep in mind that these may be in high demand this weekend, so allow extra time in case you need to find a different parking lot. Please note: due to other events taking place today, Downtown lot ST-10 and Evansdale lot ST-4 will both be closed.

Accessibility Shuttle
The Honors College has worked with the Office of Accessibility Services to make an Accessibility Shuttle available for Sunday's Retreat. This free service is available to WVU students with temporary and permanent disabilities who will need transportation assistance to attend Meet Your Mentors. The shuttle will be stationed at Lincoln Hall and can be reserved to pick up students from their residence halls on campus to their Meet Your Mentors classrooms and back.

Please email us at Honors@mail.wvu.edu  to reserve the accessibility shuttle. Please include the following information: your name, your desired pick-up location, and your drop-off location (if known). We will reply to you with additional information.
