Honors Recognition Ceremonies

Graduating seniors in the Honors College are invited to attend their Honors College Recognition Ceremony. This December, two ceremonies will be held. These ceremonies recognize students for successfully completing the requirements of the Honors College.

At these virtual ceremonies, graduating seniors will be individually recognized for the extraordinary accomplishments they have achieved during their time at West Virginia University. Family and friends are welcome to attend.

Dean's & Presidential Scholars

May, August or December 2020 WVU graduates who successfully completed the Four Year Honors Program as Dean's or Presidential Scholars are invited to join us for the 2020 virtual Honors Medallion Ceremony. Graduates should have received their Honors Medallions in the mail.

The 2020 Honors College Medallion Ceremony will be held virtually on Thursday, December 17 from 7-8 p.m. EST. Join us up to an hour early for Honors trivia! Prizes will be given to the top scorers.

Joining us will be WVU President E. Gordon Gee, Honors Dean Blemings, Assistant Dean Clement, and Dr. Melissa Albert, an Honors alumna and our keynote speaker.

The event will include individual recognition of each Honors Scholar and will also be recorded so that you can share your achievement with family and friends who are unable to watch the event live. We will ask each of you to submit a photo or two of your time here, as well as a quote, to be shared as your name is read aloud. One of your photos should be a professional or graduation photo.
