At these virtual ceremonies, graduating seniors will be individually recognized for the extraordinary accomplishments they have achieved during their time at West Virginia University. Family and friends are welcome to attend.
Dean's & Presidential Scholars
The 2020 Honors College Medallion Ceremony will be held virtually on Thursday, December 17 from 7-8 p.m. EST. Join us up to an hour early for Honors trivia! Prizes will be given to the top scorers.

The event will include individual recognition of each Honors Scholar and will also be recorded so that you can share your achievement with family and friends who are unable to watch the event live. We will ask each of you to submit a photo or two of your time here, as well as a quote, to be shared as your name is read aloud. One of your photos should be a professional or graduation photo.

Honors Foundations & EXCEL Scholars
The 2020 Honors Foundations & EXCEL Recognition Ceremony will be held virtually on Thursday, December 17 from 5-6 p.m. EST.
Joining us will be WVU President E. Gordon Gee, Honors Dean Blemings, Assistant Dean Clement and Dr. Dana Huebert Lima, Honors EXCEL program director.
Email invitations were sent to May, August and December 2020 graduates' WVU MIX email accounts. If you do not see the email in your inbox or if you have lost access to your WVU MIX account, please email Honors@mail.wvu.edu to receive RSVP and ceremony details. RSVPs for both ceremonies were due by Friday, December 4.
Accessing the Events
Both recognition ceremonies will be held virtually. Graduates who have submitted an RSVP will receive information on how to access their ceremony by December 10.
Should you wish to invite family or friends to watch the ceremony, you are encouraged to share the link so they can join you in celebrating your achievement. The virtual ceremonies will be recorded, both to allow graduates to commemorate their achievement and to share the ceremony with those important to them who are unable to attend live.
Sign Language Interpreting and TypeWell Transcribing are available by request for participants who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing. To request an interpreter or captioner please contact Jason.Kapcala@mail.wvu.edu at least 3 business days prior to the start of the event.
