·         Monday, February 20th:

-          WVU Student Events Board (SEB) Information Station

Presented by Student Events Board

Information station on signing up for SEB.

Time:  5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

·         Tuesday, February 21st:

-          Education Abroad Expo Panel

Presented by the Office of Multicultural Programs and the WVU Division of Global Affairs

A student ambassador panel discussion of study abroad opportunities, experiences, and possibilities through WVU. 

Time:  11:30 am - 1:30 pm

·         Wednesday, February 22nd:

-          Basquiat: The Radiant Child

Presented by Kendra Wilson of the Office of Multicultural Programs

A celebratory exploration into the work and legacy of African-American Artist, Jean-Michel Basquiat, a Brooklyn born African-American artist. 

Time:  11:30 am - 1:30 pm 

Location:  Mountainlair, Gluck Theatre 


·         Wednesday, February 22nd: 

-          Yup Promotion

Presented by the WVU Coca-Cola Ambassador Program

Come try Coca-Cola’s newest product … YUP!  Delicious, ice cold chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry milk … oh and don’t forget free cookies, because what’s milk with a cookie!

·         Friday, February 24th and Saturday, February 25th:

-          Extreme Dance Party

Presented by WVUp All Night

To coincide with WVUp All Night’s “Shining Stars Weekend”, Extreme Dance Party combines the fun of a dance party and moon bounce all in a giant inflatable.  This is NEW to WVUp All Night and will be sure to please.

Time:  9:00 pm – 1:00 am

Location:  Mountainlair, Food Court


-          Dance Dance Revolution

Presented by WVUp All Night

Again, to coincide with WVUp All Night’s “Shining Stars Weekend”, students can enjoy a video game while dancing the night away with Dance Dance Revolution. 

Time:  9:00 pm – 1:00 am

Location:  First Floor, Mountainlair


·         Friday, February 24th: 

-          Monsoon Wedding

Presented by the Office of Multicultural Programs and the Association for India’s Development

The program will consist of a melodramatic exploration of Indian culture built around the wedding of a wealthy family’s only daughter. 

Time:  6:00 pm - 8:00 pm 

Location:  Mountainlair, Gluck Theatre


·         Saturday, February 25th:

-          Love and Basketball

Presented by: The Rec Center

Love and Basketball is a movie from 2000 about next-door neighbors in Los Angeles who fall in love with each other while pursuing careers in basketball.

To enter this tournament, the cost is $8 per team; each team must consist of a male and female.  Games will be played to seven points.  The winning team will move on.  The overall winning team will receive two Visa Gift Cards.  To register, contact the Rec Center Special Events Office at 304-293-5081, visit the front desk at the SRC, or visit:

Come out and support your favorite WVU faculty, staff and students as they compete on the dance floor for the top three titles and the famous mirror ball trophies.  The contestants in the competition include:

-          Randall Reid-Smith:  Commissioner of the West Virginia Division of Culture and History and an international career as an operatic tenor

-          Bill Ayers:  Retiree of the West Virginia School of Engineering and Couples Dance Instructor with BOPARC

-          Julie McKinney:  Former WVU Cheerleader, ballet teacher with 30 years of experience, soloist with the Charleston Ballet Company and Charleston Light Opera Guild

-          Jackie Riggleman:  Assistant General Manager with the WV Black Bears, trained in dance for 14 years, Dancing With Our Mountaineer Stars Student Intern and Contestant
