National Tutoring Week

Monday, Oct. 2 to Friday, Oct. 6 2017  

  • Monday, Oct. 2 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m., Life Sciences Building   
    Bake Sale
  • Starting Tuesday, Oct. 3 and lasting all month during participating Learning Center hours.

    Students are encouraged to donate socks during their next visit to a participating Learning Center this Socktober. There will also be a raffle where students can donate a dollar, and win a chance to win a free pair of funky socks! All proceeds will go to a homeless shelter. Donation boxes will be available in testWELL Learning Centers in Honors Hall and Lincoln Hall, and at the Academic Resource Center locations in the Downtown Library, Towers, and the Evansdale Library.

  • Thursday, Oct. 5 from 6:30-8 p.m., Honors Hall Apartment
    Molding Minds Project 
    In this service learning project, students will collect crayons from local restaurants, and melt them to create molds to donate to the WVU Children’s Hospital. Pizza will be provided.    
  • Friday, Oct. 6 from 3-4:30 p.m., E. Moore Hall
    Tutor Appreciation Reception

    Light refreshments will be provided. Tutors from all Learning Centers are welcome.
