Get Involved with Mountaineer Week Events

Help out and earn community service hours with WVU’s annual Mountaineer Week, celebrating West Virginia culture and history. 

Volunteers are needed for the Craft Fair Thursday, Oct. 19 and Sunday, Oct. 22, and for Family Fun Day Saturday, Oct. 21.

Family Fun Day invites families and children (grades K-5 grade and beyond) to enjoy entertainment, hands-on crafts, and informational activities, games, mascots, and programs.The event is Saturday, Oct. 21 from 12-3:30 p.m. at the Mountainlair. Volunteers will be needed Oct. 21 from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.. Volunteers should wear comfortable clothes. The information is posted on iServe under WVU Mountainlair. 

The Mountaineer Week Craft Fair features over 60 artisans. Volunteers will be needed to help with setup and take down. Jason Burns is the advisor. Volunteers will be needed Thursday, Oct. 19 from 1-10p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 22 from 3:30-7:30 p.m. Volunteers should be prepared to assist with general set-up and tear down, but not heavy lifting as the facilities crew will be tkaing care of those tasks. Wear casual clothes and wear layers because volunteers will be both inside and outside.
