External Scholarly Opportunity Workshops for Honors Second, Third, Fourth Year Students

Want to learn about, search for, and apply to external scholarly opportunities to expand your education beyond the classroom and WVU? Join Honors for one of two workshops to learn more, and get access to the Student Opportunity Center, a new resource for finding these opportunities that is limited to 500 Honors College student users. 

What are external opportunities?

External opportunities can include summer research experiences, internships at national/government labs or agencies, undergraduate symposia/conferences, journals and more.

Students should only sign up for one workshop. Follow the link for each workshop to sign up.

Activating Your Student Opportunity Center Account

After signing up, your WVU MIX email address will be uploaded to the S.O.C. site after Oct. 3  and you will receive an email with directions on how to activate your S.O.C. account. If you do not attend the workshop, your S.O.C. account may be deactivated.
