Bass, a WVU and Honors College graduate, on
Tuesday, Feb. 15 from 7-8:15 p.m on Zoom.
Dr. Bass is a diversity, inclusion, and belonging consultant for Capital One.
Prior to that, she worked within their people analytics organization, supporting
the retail bank and technology operations. Before Capital One, she consulted
for the Omidyar Network (ON) and McKinsey & Company.
She was a post-doctoral
fellow-in-residence at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University
analyzing the intersection of power, race, and violence within the United States
and earned a PhD in political science from UC-Berkeley, studying the relationship
between changing religious doctrine and the African American church’s evolving
relationship with its community.
After completing a dual degree in finance and Spanish from West Virginia University, she earned an MA in international studies and an MA in international economic management from the University of Birmingham, UK as a Marshall Scholar. Afterwards, Jackie studied peace and conflict resolution at La Universidad del Salvador, Buenos Aires as a part of the inaugural class of the Rotary World Peace Fellowship.
