Family Field Day Seeks Student Org Volunteers

The Council for Gender Equity (CGE) is sponsoring a Family Field Day on Sunday, April 24 from 1-5 pm at the Rec Center fields.

This event will be for families of WVU staff, faculty, and students, and will also be open to community members. Families will enjoy a variety of activities sponsored by campus organizations to learn about health and wellness (and to have fun!)

After experiencing such a mentally challenging couple of years, the goal is to provide a social, fun, and healthy afternoon for families. The Council for Gender Equity is requesting proposals for activities that your group could plan and execute. Activities can be for an entire family (all ages) or be for specific age groups (2-4, 5-8, 9-12, or 13+).

Idea examples: hula-hoop demonstrations and friendly competitions, a kids craft, potato sack races, mini yoga sessions, short soccer dribbling course, or an informational booth on a topic related to health or wellness (broadly defined).

Please complete this form with your idea for an activity and the Council for Gender Equity will contact you with further details. Deadline to submit is Sunday, March 20. You and your group will be able to log these volunteer hours on iServe. Please contact Cate Johnson at with questions.
