Our student workers are an important part of the Honors College. All current Honors students, these students work events, at our Honors College front desk and answer the phones. They are happy to answer your questions about the Honors College, or direct you to who will best answer your questions.
Karalyne Banks

Interests and Hobbies: Playing piano and guitar, going to the gym, reading, and hanging out with friends
Fun Fact: My favorite part of my day is lifting when I go to the gym.
Favorite Thing about WVU and the Honors College: My favorite thing about WVU is going to the football and basketball games and singing Country Roads after a win.
Rebekah Deshler

Interests and Hobbies: I love reading, hiking, and baking. My favorite thing to do is be around my friends or go to the movies!
Fun Fact: I spent a year living in Hungary with my family!
Favorite Thing about WVU and the Honors College: My favorite thing about WVU and the Honors College is how quickly I felt welcomed here! Being in the Honors College has already helped my feel like I belong at WVU and made me excited for the numerous memories, opportunities and experiences that I know will come with my time here.

Favorite Thing about WVU and the Honors College: My favorite thing about WVU and the Honors College is the sense of community. Going into college, I was nervous I wouldn't find my group. Thanks to the Honors College and the plethora of student organizations on campus, I found like-minded people who have become my closest friends.
Hannah Nieman

Favorite Thing about WVU and the Honors College: I really like how despite being a relatively large school it still has a small school feel, and the Honors College definitely gives that more personal level feel.
Javi Reyes

Favorite Thing about WVU and the Honors College: WVU and the Honors College especially has allowed me to really focus on myself and what I want to do in life. I am always surrounded by like-minded individuals that push me to be better, as well as rely on me to push them. There are tons of opportunities here and I know that as soon as COVID-19 isn’t an obstacle there will be even more opportunities and amazing experiences to take advantage of. There is a big sense of family here at the Honors College and that is unbeatable.
