Bethany Knight

Biomedical Engineering Major

Bethany Knight, a junior biomedical engineering major, presented her research on alternative treatment for rheumatoid arthritis at a conference in Los Angeles, where she was recognized as one of the top presenters. Preliminary trials in rat models suggest the treatment can reduce blood clotting and joint inflammation and deterioration. Knight conducted the research at the Baylor College of Medicine as part of the National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates. She is a 2020 WVU Foundation Scholar.
