How to Earn the Badge
To complete the Career Ready badge, you will need to complete 100 points toward each of the competencies listed above for a total of 800 points. You also must complete the Mountaineer Pride and Constructive Dialogue Institute milestones.
- Professional document preparation such as resume or cover letter
- Prepare your statement of purpose for graduate school
- Apply for a nationally competitive scholarship or fellowship
- Complete career relevant online profiles like on Handshake or LinkedIn
- Participate in a WVU LaunchLab pitch competition
- Attend a WVU career fair
- Leadership position in a student organization
- Participation in Student Government Association
