My EXCEL project centers around creating scientific illustrations to supplement my lab work. Tsetse flies represent an invaluable model system for studying vector biology and symbiotic systems. However, there are not many visual aids that showcase internal anatomy or physiological processes. Therefore, my scientific illustrations serve as an additional scientific communication tool to make tsetse flies more accessible to a wider range of audiences.
